The Night of the Hunter (1955) DVDRip

Robert Mitchum plays Harry Powell, an evil preacher who marries and murders widows for their money, believing he is helping God do away with women who arouse men’s carnal instincts.
He shares a jail cell with condemned killer Ben Harper, who has hidden $10,000 that he stole. Powell discovers that only Harper’s children, John and Pearl, know where the money is.

Once Harper is executed, Powell marries the widow and terrorises little John and Pearl, trying to find the money…

This is one of my favourite films, with a brilliant evil performance by Roger Mitchum, I think it’s one of the best films ever made!
